Beyond the activities, we are happy to recommend the beautiful surroundings nearby – from mountain pastures to waterfalls. Close at hand are the fairy-tale park Tomteland, the Dalhalla concert arena and the geologically fascinating Siljan area. Folk music runs deep here, celebrated at events such as the Bingsjöstämman.
Vasaloppet
Many of our guests stay with us for the Vasaloppet events held in summer and winter. In summer it is the Cykelvasan cycling race that draws the crowds, while winter brings the classic ski race that attracts competitors from around the world. Tjejvasan is another popular event – participants like to stay with us and take one of the buses to the start in the morning.
Art and art experiences
There are several great artists in Dalarna. Anders Zorn, known for his paintings of the valley hills, has been honored with a museum here in Mora. It is a popular destination that attracts both national and international guests. Just over 85 km drive from Mora is Falun. There is the Carl Larsson farm where the artist couple Karin and Carl Larsson lived. This is also a museum.

Bring your skis or snowboard and hit the beautiful slopes in Gesunda, which also offers fast-paced downhill mountain biking in summer. You will find more downhill skiing at Grönklitt in Orsa and Romme Alpin in Borlänge, while the whole of Sälen, with its many ski resorts, is also within reach.
