The 90 historic kilometres of the Vasaloppet Arena between Sälen and Mora can be enjoyed in many different ways – and you certainly do not have to be an elite athlete to appreciate the beautiful scenery along the route. Parts of the area are protected as a nature reserve, so please make sure you are aware of the local rules.

Because the Vasaloppsleden trail is maintained year-round, it is a great choice for running, cycling or skiing. If you prefer a slower pace and a gentle taste of adventure, it is also wonderful to hike. Read more about the Vasaloppet Arena.
Beyond the beautiful natural scenery, there are other points of interest along the Vasaloppet Arena. Visit the old summer-farm cabins, where the region’s farmers once drove their animals each season. It is also worth knowing that Sweden’s future king, Gustav Vasa, passed through this area and spent the night here during his flight from the Danes.
